Background & ambitions

The ‘Ireland’ family name entered the motor racing world in 1952, when Innes Ireland raced grand prix cars and some of the worlds most exotic and successful sports cars with considerable success. To continue this heritage, Ireland Motorsports CIC was formed in July 2024 by founder Christianne Ireland, with the following two objectives:

1) To carry on activities which benefit and provide real-life opportunities and encouragement for young people to get involved in the many different areas and aspects of motorsport.

2) To promote and preserve the heritage and achievements of motor racing driver, Innes Ireland, inspiring the next generation of drivers and also providing an outlet for a new generation of fans to be reached and communicated with.

We believe these objectives can have mutual benefits, leveraging and promoting our heritage to provide a bridge to enable young people to take early steps into their chosen areas of interest in motorsport.
