Ireland Motorsports out in force at the Pomeroy Trophy
The Ireland Motorsports team descended on Silverstone on 14th February to participate in the VSCC’s traditional season-opening track event – the Pomeroy Trophy.
3 beautiful mini’s were taking part, driven by Ireland Motorsport Directors / Trustees Adele Hunt and Matt Goodrich, who were joined
by our friend Marc Wojtanowski for the event. Ian Hunt was on hand to oversee the whole operation in typically excellent manner. All 3 cars looked resplendent and attracted much interest and favourable comment (maybe evoking the odd flashback to the original ‘The Italian Bob’ film?).
The drivers were ably supported by pit crew Charlie, Lennon, Alfie and Zakk. Our student photographer Ben was also present and busy, working with students from ‘Startermotor’ to gain practical experience.
As if that wasn’t enough, Director Guy Loveridge informed and entertained from the circuits’ commentary box (along with another motorsport expert, Marcus Pye) and Director Carol Corliss made an eventful trip from Lincolnshire to meet up with other members of the Womens Motor Racing Associate Club (the wonderful ‘Doghouse Club formed in 1962).
Christianne definitely did her ‘steps’ for the day, busy promoting, coordinating and cajoling the team and people from other other associated organisations / participants / organising clubs.
What a super way to kick off the year.
